Can I read this website in my language?

YES, ABSOLUTELY!

Just find the flag symbol on top of each page, click on it, and select the flag that corresponds with your preferred language.

Please forgive the occasional awkward translation – we are using the Google Translate service for this. And as you know, it’s far from perfect, but you should always be able to understand everything.  If in doubt, just contact us with any and all questions!

I don't receive any emails from the Congress, why is that?

Please check your Spam folder.

For some people, our emails and newsletters seem to arbitrarily get classified as spam/junk and directly moved to the Spam folder.

To avoid this, please add our email addresses info@atcongress.com and registration@now2022.de to your address book and/or email “whitelists”.

Also, do not hesitate to contact us if you suspect an issue here.

How can I submit a workshop proposal?

Just find the Submit Workshop button on our main drop-down menu.

Please note that you need to be registered for the Congress in order to be able to submit your proposals.

Submitting a workshop is a 2-step process

1) Workshop Details
Title, Content, Style, Categories, etc.
2) Personal info about yourself:
Photo, Biography, etc.

  • Please be aware that we need to perform a formal check before your workshop becomes visible on our site.
  • If you like to repeat your workshop, you will have to submit a form for each workshop separately.
  • If you wish to present a workshop together with one or more colleagues, please fill out the workshop submission as you normally would. Then please ask each of your colleagues to register themselves for the Congress and complete their personal profile with a photo and their individual biographies (this can be done from their personal ‘Your account’ pages).
    When all this is completed, please email us at info@atcongress.com and let us know the about the workshop in question and who should be listed as co-presenters. We will then make all the necessary changes for you.
    (If you’re interested, a new virtual user gets created that holds all your names. For the profile image, all your portraits get combined into a collage)

How can I book a spot for a workshop?

Workshops (and all other Congress events, except Continuous Learning) are walk-in events.
This means you don’t need to book your spot.

We only have to make sure that maximum room occupancies are being observed. For your favourite workshops, we therefore advise you to be there a few minutes
early before the workshop starts.

How can I book and/or change my Continuous Learning sessions?

Continuous Learning sessions are the only classes that require pre-booking. We plan to begin this 4-6 weeks prior to the Congress. We will let you know when we have an exact date and inform you via website and newsletter.

You will then be able to choose and change your Continuous Learning sessions on Your Account Page. Please check back.

Do you offer day tickets?

Unfortunately, day tickets are not available at this time.
Given the administrative overhead day tickets require, especially in COVID times, we need to prioritise regular registrations for the moment.
When we are nearing the Congress opening (around June or July), we will know more about numbers and effective regulations. Things might change then and we will be able to offer day tickets.
So please check back here in the weeks before the Congress.

Can I register if I am neither an AT teacher, nor a trainee, nor a pupil?

The Congress is open to everyone interested in the Alexander Technique. Although some of the events may only be suitable to the AT teachers and trainees, many are open to all curious and open-minded individuals. All event descriptions specify if they are suitable for teachers, trainees or everybody.

Everyone is welcome to register as a Regular Attendee.

 

How and where do I find the best accommodation in Berlin?

We recommend using Booking.com as it gives the best price option and you can easily change or cancel your booking directly through the website.

What budget should I consider for my visit to Berlin during the Congress?

Overall a budget of 25 euros per day minimum, and a high end would be up to 100 for food and drinks every day.

  • Breakfast from 2.50 € at bakery to 15.00 € buffet at a hotel.
  • Lunch from 4.00 € for street food/take away to 12.00 € at a restaurant
  • Dinner from 12.00 to 30.00 € at a restaurant (plus drinks)
  • Cocktails in fancy bar around 15.00 €
  • Glass of wine typically costs around 5,50-10,00 €. One glass is typically 0,2 cl.
  • Beer is cheaper, 3.00-5.00 € for 0,3 cl.

How do I book tickets to the Congress Boat Tour?

What is the Sponsored ticket?

You can donate an additional amount into a special fund to support financially disadvantaged attendees. Find out more about the Sponsored ticket.

Is there an official Congress T-Shirt?

Yes, there is!

What is your COVID policy?

We are working hard to follow the requirements for keeping everyone safe, while at the same time maintaining the most open, welcoming and trouble-free atmosphere possible.

The Technical University requires that the Congress operate under the Berlin Senate’s official COVID-19 Ordinance (Infektionsschutzverordnung).

You can also follow the latest updates on what is required by The Governing Mayor of Berlin – Senate Chancellery, on the Measures against the coronavirus webpage, specifically the section Public and private events.

How do l login to my account?

You can always find your account login under Your Account on our main drop down menu (the three horizontal lines – the hamburger, in the top right-hand corner of our each page). You can also use these direct links: Login | Logout

Where do I find the Login and Logout buttons?

You can always find your account login under Your Account on our main drop down menu (the three horizontal lines – the hamburger – in the top right-hand corner of each page). You can also use these direct links: Login | Logout.You will see the Login (if you are not logged in) and Logout (if you are logged in) buttons. The Logout button is also on the menu on the top of Your Account Page.

How can I recover lost password to my account?

You can reset your password at the bottom of the Login to your Account Page by clicking Recover your password link.

How do I check-in? How do I get my Congress badge?

To eliminate queuing we will employ a self check-in. Therefore, we kindly ask you to print the Congress Badge yourself and bring it to the Congress. You will find the link to print your badge on the Congress Confirmation email or on Your Account Page.

As we are trying to minimise our ecological footprint, we would also like to ask you if you could find and re-use a badge cover with lanyard. Most of us will have collected several of these and have them lying around from past events. But if not – DON’T WORRY!
We still will have printing facilities, covers and lanyards on-site, and are happy to assist you in any way, at any time upon your arrival at the TU (Technische Universität).

Can I book events in advance?

There is no need to book afternoon workshops nor other activities (apart from the Continuous Learning sessions and the Boat Tour). You can just turn up. However, if you are keen to attend a particular event we recommend that you arrive early to avoid disappointment.
